These are some of the dancers who are excited about "Under One" and who we want to feature in future "Under One" videos.

Miguel Anaya has danced with Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, Baryshnikov's White Oak Dance Project, and Douglas Dunn & Dancers among many other renowned dance companies.

When not dancing, Miguel is a photographer and makes jewelry.

Emily Pope-Blackman is a dancer, teacher, choreographer, and performing artist. She is an alumni of the North Carolina School of the Arts. She holds a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from The Ohio State University and a MFA in Dance/Choreography from the NYU Tisch School of the Arts. She has performed worldwide with The Charleston Ballet Theatre, Ballet Met Ohio, Total Theatre Inc., Chimaera Physical Theatre, Bridget Moore Dance Company, White Wave Young Soon Kim Dance Company, Hilary Easton + Company, Douglas Dunn & Dancers, and Tiffany Mills.

Tim Ward trained at the New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts and has a BFA in dance from Juilliard. He was a member of the Merce Cunningham Repertory Understudy Group and has performed with Douglas Dunn & Dancers, Peridance Contemporary Dance Company, White Wave Young Soon Kim Dance Company, Tze Chun Dance Company, Mary Seidman, Wendy Osserman, Kira Blazek, Lucie Baker, Carlye Eckert, Cori Kresge, Gallim Dance, Pat Catterson, and Dušan Týnek Dance Theatre.

Alison currently performs with The Metropolitan Opera at Lincoln Center and tours internationally with renowned Israeli choreographer Zvi Gotheiner. She has worked with many wonderful artists and institutions including Shen Wei Dance Arts, Martha Clarke, Dorian Nuskind-Oder/Delicate Beast, Jason Akira Somma, Lincoln Center Theater, Alice Tully Hall, Park Avenue Armory, Mass MOCA, The Guggenheim Museum, Todd Williams/WilliamsWorks, Chris Elam/Misnomer Dance Theater, Michael Helland, Robert Wilson’s Watermill Center, Young Soon Kim/White Wave, and White Oak.

Alison is from Nevada City, CA where she trained at Sierra Dance Institute, Nevada City School of the Arts and the NUHS Theatrical dance program. She earned a BFA in dance from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.

Chie Mukai was born and raised in Osaka, Japan.She started her classical ballet training at age of five with Hiroko Oshiba. She was accepted to enter at Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Boston where she trained with Diane Arvanites and worked at Prometheus Dance for the summer. She earned a B.F.A in Dance at The Boston Conservatory in 2008. After graduating, Chie has been working as a freelance dancer and teaching at Body Evolutions ( as a  GYROTONIC® instructor to help injury recovery,prevention,and body conditioning with using the movements.

Jake Szczypek is originally from New Haven, CT. He began his movement career studying gymnastics and springboard diving for the majority of his childhood and adolescence. He went on to receive a BA in dance from Sarah Lawrence College in 2007. Jake has performed in the works of Neil Greenberg, David Dorfman, Ezra Caldwell, Doug Varone, Jeanine Durning, White Wave/Young Soon Kim Dance Companyand several others. He can currently be seen dancing for Liz Gerring Dance Company, Alison Chase/Performance, Jody Oberfelder Dance Projects, Douglas Dunn & Dancers, Mary Seidman & Dancers, and choreographing his own work on high schoolers in Westchester. Additionally, Jake competes as a Masters Springboard Diver for Team New York Aquatics and poses as a figure model for Parsons and SVA.

Courtney is from Baltimore and trained at The Ailey School in NYC. She is a freelance dancer with companies in NYC including Ballet Inc, and teaches dance for children with Purelements and Brooklyn Dance Project.
